Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we regret to announce that the 5th Edition of the Tolaram Science Challenge 2020 which was scheduled to hold this month, has been cancelled.
This cancellation became necessary because all schools in Lagos State have been closed since March 2020 and Lagos State Government’s COVID-19 pandemic regulations prohibits gatherings of more than 20 people.
We are as disappointed as the teachers, principals, parents and pupils who have been enquiring if the science challenge will be held this year but we must abide by the NCDC guidelines on physical distancing, and the Lagos State Government’s regulations.
Come 2021, we are hopeful that the science challenge will return bigger and better as it continues to transform the lives of the participating students and improve the quality of the schools in Ibeju Lekki.
