On May 24, Lekki Port had the honour of hosting Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho, Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), during his official visit to Nigeria’s deepest seaport and most advanced transshipment hub.
The visit served as a platform to highlight Lekki Port’s world-class infrastructure, cutting-edge container terminal, and streamlined operational processes. Dr. Dantsoho’s presence underscored the NPA’s ongoing support for transformative projects that strengthen Nigeria’s maritime sector and promote sustainable economic growth.
During his facility tour, Dr. Dantsoho engaged directly with key stakeholders and received in-depth briefings on current operations, recent infrastructure upgrades, and notable performance milestones. In his remarks, the NPA MD praised Lekki Port’s role in reshaping port logistics across West Africa. “Lekki Port is a clear demonstration of what public-private partnership can achieve. It is impressive to see the scale, efficiency, and ambition that this port represents for Nigeria’s future,” he stated.
Lekki Port’s leadership reaffirmed their commitment to continued collaboration with the Nigerian Ports Authority to drive innovation, improve operational efficiency, and support capacity building within the port ecosystem.
